Hello Art Club,

Here are the minutes for our last meeting:

We briefly discussed next semester's Student Art Exhibition, which is scheduled to happen May 3-4 (Friday and Saturday).

--We would like to send out an Art Call for this late Jan/early Feb.

--We will need someone to design an advert for our Art Call early next semester (by last week of January)

Our End-of-Semester Party is scheduled to take place on Friday Dec 13 from 2:30-5pm.

--Plans include: a contest, drawing stations, an

opportunities/information table, peer critique, and technique

demonstrations.

--I have volunteered to give a demonstration on how to tone

hot press watercolor paper with sennelier shellac based inks;

if anyone else is interested in sharing a skill, please reach out to

csmartsclub@gmail.com and let me know.

--We will also have food, drinks, and music; attendees are

welcome to come just to socialize if they want!

Going forward, unless we are planning an upcoming event, each biweekly art club meeting will have a specific purpose. We all have something to learn from each other. So we will use meeting time to share our skills.

--Arts club officers will create a shared document where people can

sign up to give a presentation on a technique, share information, or

anything else that other members may find interesting.

--Interested club members can sign up for a specific meeting date

throughout next semester.

--We will have this document up and ready by the first week of next

semester if not sooner.
